Summary

Experienced technical leader with two decades spanning hands-on engineering to the CTO chair and co-founder's seat. I pair a computer-science foundation in algorithms — from a seam-carving master's thesis to production AI and computer-vision systems — with a pragmatist's bias for shipping. I've led technology in both startups and city government, building autonomous teams and choosing the short-term move that unlocks the long-term goal.

  • Achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, a prerequisite for enterprise and regulated-industry sales
  • Shipped AI agents that let clients explore complex software-delivery data conversationally
  • Fine-tuned domain-specific AI models for the software-development lifecycle to power product insights
  • Architected a scalable, business-driven integrations platform connecting clients' existing engineering and project systems

Skiplist

CTO7/2018 — 6/2022

  • Led teams delivering a range of technical solutions, including SaaS products, data pipelines, and IOT hardware devices
  • Led the ground-up development of a SaaS product which integrates with external enterprise systems to monitor and report project health scores. Delivered the product while balancing the needs of sales, product, and engineering
  • Technical leader for a national internet service provider's computer-vision system to inventory assets across 1500 sites; was directly responsible for coding the Python/Tensorflow vision pipeline on AWS EC2 and SageMaker. Convinced the client to diverge from the sold solution and use an innovative workflow which made the app usable prior to having complete data and a complete vision model
  • Delivered a cloud-based data modeling system despite incomplete specs and lack of access to underlying data
  • Led a project to create a prototype IOT device to perform on-device object detection for the purpose of continuously and automatically maintaining inventory levels at remote sites
