Snapshots

One day I stumbled across a post by photographer Kenneth Wajda. He was explaining how he likes to take photographs of people on the street, print and frame them, and then gift the framed photos to people he photographed. He calls this his Gift Photographs Project. I liked the idea. It’s a great way to practice photography, make a small contribution to a sense of community, and just share a bit of kindness. So, I decided to join the project. Below are a few of the snapshots I have taken so far.

These are typical examples of how I approach documentary photography. At times I also like taking non-documentary photos. The style of those is some strange mix of architectural and landscape; they are undoubtedly vernacular, play-acting as fine-art. Those photographs can be seen on my pretentiously named portfolio page.

If you see your photo here but never received a print then send a message with the photograph’s title, your name, and address to snapshots@stollee.org.
